Understanding escrow protection

Every deal's crypto is genuinely locked on-chain, not just held in a database. For ETH deals it sits in Palzea's Escrow smart contract; for BTC deals it sits in a 2-of-3 multisig address shared between you, the merchant and Palzea (acting as arbiter).

Funds only move once both sides confirm the deal is complete. If something goes wrong, raising a dispute freezes the deal for an admin to review — for ETH the contract's dispute function decides the outcome; for BTC an admin co-signs the release to whichever party is owed. Deals that run past their time window are automatically flagged for review too.
